Adam Tinworth has a great post about how blogging novices can join the conversation. More specifically, it’s a guide "on the basic principles behind blogging for journalists." Quite a task if you consider journalists are trained to write proficiently in quite different way from bloggers.
So Adam approaches the subject pragmatically with helpful headings such as: What differentiates blogging from other forms of publishing?; Why should I bother joining in?; What happens if I don’t?
It’s a really useful post and well worth reading – not just if you’re a journalist; also it’s a handy crib sheet if you have to educate clients or internal audiences about why they need to understand and engage with their readers/clients/customers etc
