In the sharing nature of social networks I thought I’d provide links to a few stories I’ve been reading in today’s Observer:
- Media conglomerate, Emap, is having a tough time. It’s expected to relase figures this week that show a huge slump in ad revenue. The Observer bills it: ‘Disastrous results for media majors as readers switch to the internet.’
- Nick Mathiason comments on the near-unbelievable story of Hewlett-Packard using industrial epsionage six years ago to help it win contracts and now spying on newsrooms in the US to see who was responsible for penning anti-HP stories.
- Meanwile the ubiquitous Iain Dale plugs his new book with a piece about how MPs and political parties should be blogging. It’s a straight-down-the-line article bashing Labour for their new media control freakery while stating the party that ‘gets’ new media will win the next election. More on this later.
