Just blogging from Leeds Met where I'm doing thr PR Diploma. Over lunch we also got the chance to see Ian Markham launch his new book on ethics. Ian's on the advertising standards authority board which got me thinking about a point made by pr academic kevin moloney. he says that PRs power over advertising why is there no regulatory body? worth thinking about.

Sigh!

Good luck with the diploma, I'd love to find the time to do more formal learning.

Simon - people should know as well as the diploma it's well worth joing the CIPR. Go to the website www.cipr.co.uk to see what the fuss is about.

Good point Simon. The CIPR is as close as the industry gets to a regulator...
