Blog analyst, Hitwise, has published a top 10 list of UK lifesyle blogs. The top slot is held by a site called Fugufish which I have never heard of but apparently became famous after it hosted some very popular videos.
The list does seem to show, however, that right wing political bloggers have a significant following. Guido Fawkes comes in at number three followed by ConservativeHome at four and Iain Dale at five.
This is interesting as it may show that the Tories really have used new media and the blogosphere to engage with either grass root supporters or a wider voting public. It may also, of course, simply show that opposition politics is generally more fun.
This is despite the firtst political blogs (and correct me if I'm wrong) being started by Labour. First by Tom Watson MP and then by (ex)Councillor Stuart Bruce.
